KELLY JOHANNA RÍOS

Odonata evolutionary ecology allows us to explore innumerable number of hypotheses through different tools, my interest in studying the connection between phylogenetic distance and distribution area of 32 species of the genus Argia which has become in a big opportunity to identify whether species which are closer to phylogenetic tree, keep a relation to geographical space, with the aid of methods like modeling of ecological niches. Thereby, with the results, we could provide innovative knowledge about ecological and evolutionary relationships established in this genus. Kelly had a scolarship and her work has been financed and developed in evolutionary ecology lab of Dr. Alex Córdoba Aguilar of Universidad Autónoma de México. Image: https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Argia_extranea
